Selena Gomez weds benny blanco

Selena Gomez is officially a bride—and she made sure her big day was nothing short of magical. The singer and actor tied the knot with music producer Benny Blanco in a romantic ceremony in Santa Barbara, California.

Selena shared the first glimpses of the celebration on Instagram with a simple caption, "9.27.25." Blanco sweetly responded, "my wife in real life." She followed up with a romantic slideshow of newlywed portraits, including candid Polaroids that gave fans a closer look at their stunning wedding day fashion.

As confirmed by Vogue, Selena wore a custom embroidered Ralph Lauren gown, while Benny complemented her look with a classic black tuxedo from the same designer.

The Ceremony and Celebration

The Ceremony and Celebration

The wedding took place at Sea Crest Nursery in Santa Barbara, California, with 170 guests made up of close friends and family. The festivities began the night before with a cozy rehearsal dinner held at a private mansion in the nearby Hope Ranch community.

Selena's bridesmaids reportedly included her inner circle—Ashley Cook, Courtney Lopez, Raquelle Stevens, and her cousin Priscilla Marie—the same group who joined her for her bachelorette getaway in Cabo San Lucas earlier this year.

The Star-Studded Guest List

Of course, the wedding had no shortage of familiar faces. Taylor Swift, her longtime best friend, and Ed Sheeran, a mutual friend and collaborator of Blanco, were both in attendance. According to People, the two gave heartfelt speeches during the reception, along with Gomez's mother Mandy Teefey, stepfather Brian Teefey, and Blanco's parents, Sandra and Andrew Levin.

Gomez's Only Murders in the Building co-stars Steve Martin, Martin Short, Paul Rudd, and Ashley Park were also there, as well as her Wizards of Waverly Place on-screen brother David Henrie and friend Paris Hilton.

The reception was described as lively and joy-filled. "Everyone was letting loose and celebrating them well into the night," a source told People. "The vibe was so much fun.

They were glowing all night, and both Selena and Benny couldn't stop smiling. There was so much love in the room."

While the guest list and venue were as thoughtful as they were, Selena didn't just stop there and included her personalization in her dress choice.

Look One

Selena Gomez ivory gown

For the ceremony and official portraits, Selena wore a custom ivory gown by Ralph Lauren that radiated timeless beauty. The dress featured a halter-neck made of stacked flower petals, intricate lace patchwork, and a gracefully draped bodice. The open-back design curved into a V-shape, flowing into a long, silky skirt with a dramatic train—perfect for those unforgettable wedding photos.

She skipped the veil for this look, choosing instead to let the gown shine. Her accessories included diamond drop earrings from Tiffany & Co., a delicate bouquet of white lilies of the valley, and of course, her new wedding ring.

Look Two

Selena Gomez second gown

Later, Selena surprised everyone with a second gown, also filled with romantic details. Shared in Blanco's Instagram slideshow, the look was pure fairytale magic. The fitted bodice was covered in floral lace embroidery, cascading into a sheer tulle skirt that subtly revealed her strappy heels.

This time, she embraced full bridal drama with a long, flowing veil, perfectly pinned atop her signature bob. Blanco captioned his post, "I married a real life Disney princess," to which Gomez lovingly replied, "I love you soooo much."

From sleek sophistication to dreamy romance, both bridal looks captured Selena's personal style beautifully. It's safe to say the couple's wedding glow and fashion game was absolutely unforgettable.

Selena's Wedding Hair

While the celebration was intimate, it was far from understated. Selena radiated glamour in her custom gown paired with pearly iridescent nails, but what truly stole the spotlight was her effortlessly chic bridal bob, styled to perfection.

Selena's longtime hairstylist, Renato Compora, described the look as a "flawless, timeless, healthy-looking Hollywood glamour Marcel wave bob for a day that celebrates love, beauty, and perfection."

To get that ultra-polished base, Compora started with two rounds of Joico Defy Damage Protective Shampoo, followed by a 30-minute treatment using the KBOND20 Power Masque.

Next came a coating of Joico Dream Blowout Glass 72HR Frizz Fighter to lock in sleekness. With a rat-tail comb, he created a deep side part and sectioned the hair, applying Joico JoiWhip Design Foam, blow-drying with a large round brush, and pinning each section to cool.

The true magic happened with a three-quarter-inch curling iron and a generous layer of Joico Heat Hero Glossing Thermal Protector. Compora sculpted classic S-waves section by section, pinning them to set for 20 minutes. Once cooled, he brushed through and set the style with hairspray, resulting in a 1930s-inspired, Hollywood wave bob that gleamed from every angle.

Selena's bob has been her signature for months, but this bridal version was in a league of its own—timeless, elegant, and unforgettable.

A Love Story Years in the Making

A Love Story Years in the Making

Selena and Benny's connection goes way back. They first worked together over a decade ago on her 2015 album Revival, and again on his 2019 single "I Can't Get Enough." But it wasn't until 2023 that their friendship turned romantic.

The couple quietly dated for six months before Gomez confirmed their relationship via Instagram comments in December, writing, "He is my absolute everything in my heart." Almost exactly a year later, they were engaged. Gomez announced the news with a close-up of her diamond ring on Instagram, captioning it, "Forever begins now.." She later shared that Blanco popped the question during a romantic Taco Bell picnic—a personal and playful touch.

Their bond extended into music as well. In March, the pair released their first collaborative album, I Said I Loved You First, which Gomez described to Rolling Stone as "our story in song form." She added with a laugh, "Guilty as charged — I said 'I love you' first."
